Privacy policy
Draft. Last updated October 12, 2026.
This policy explains what information LeadPilot collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers two groups: business customers who use LeadPilot (“customers”), and people who contact those businesses through the LeadPilot website assistant (“visitors”).
Information we collect
- Account information from customers: name, email address, company details, and settings.
- Information visitors enter in the assistant or contact form: name, phone number, email (optional), ZIP code, street address (optional), a description of the service needed, and their answer to whether the business may call or text them.
- Conversation transcripts between visitors and the assistant.
- Technical information such as the page where the assistant was opened, and IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Billing information is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We don't store card numbers.
How we use it
- To deliver visitor inquiries to the business they contacted, and to send that business alerts.
- To operate, secure and improve the service, including preventing abuse.
- To bill customers for their subscriptions.
Visitor information belongs to the business the visitor contacted. LeadPilot processes it on that business's behalf and doesn't sell it or use it to market to visitors.
AI processing
Visitor messages may be processed by a third-party AI provider to understand the request. Phone numbers and email addresses are removed from the text before it is sent. Only the current conversation and the business's own settings are provided.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us run LeadPilot (hosting, database, email delivery, payments, AI processing), under agreements that limit their use of it. We may disclose information when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Customers control their records and can delete leads or export them at any time. Visitors who want their information removed should contact the business they reached out to, or contact us and we'll forward the request.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and database-level separation between businesses. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
